Registration can be submitted by completing the online form below. Registration must be completed by 23 June 2017 to obtain the early bird rate. After this date the registration fees will increase as detailed in the table below. Click here to Register

Member rates are available to current ISEE members.
Before registering for the conference, attendees may join ISEE or renew their ISEE membership online.

If your ISEE membership has expired or expires anytime between now and the end of December, we encourage you to renew now. ISEE membership includes a one year subscription to the journal “Epidemiology”.

The membership list will be checked to confirm eligibility. Registration confirmation will be delayed if you are not a member.

Non-member rates are available for persons who are not current members of ISEE.

Members Developing Country reduced rates are available to members currently residing in developing countries as classified by the World Bank as “Low income,” “Lower Middle Income,” or “Upper Middle Income” in the World Development Report.

Students rates are available to full-time, currently enrolled students (please provide evidence of full time status by sending a scan of student ID to the .

The Student and New Researcher’s ISEE 2017 Social Event: The Great 'Aussie' Backyard BBQ

The Backyard BBQ is a great Australian tradition and past time. Come along to meet and socialise with your fellow peers in an informal setting at the ISEE 2017 SNRN social event, and experience an aspect of Australian culture!

A full ‘Aussie’ inspired BBQ meal will be provided, including red and white meat options, salads and breads. Vegetarian and vegan options will also be available on request, as well as options for other specialised diets. Please indicate below if you would like to request a specialised meal.

A selection of ‘traditional’ and ‘novel’ Australian foods will be available on the menu to taste including Vegemite (a spread), Tim-Tams (chocolate biscuits) and Lamingtons (cake)! All attendees will also be entitled to one drink (choice of alcoholic or non-alcoholic). Additional drinks can be purchased at the bar. Entertainment will be provided.

The ISEE 2017 Conference Secretariat has confirmed rooms at nearby hotels for the benefit of conference participants. You are encouraged to secure your accommodation when you register to ensure that you receive competitive rates, negotiated for the Conference. Accommodation can be booked via the registration form; please see the accommodation page for more information.

Method of payment

Registration will be confirmed when payment is received.

Payment can be made by any of the following methods:

  1. Credit card: Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Diners Club. If you are making a credit card payment from a country outside Australia, for security reasons you must first advise your banking institution of the impending charge and authorise them to allow the charge to Australia to go through. Please note that charges to your credit card will appear as being from "ISEE 2017" on your bank statement.
  2. Bank transfer: Please include your surname in the transfer and email the transfer receipt (remittance) to the conference secretariat: .
  3. Cheque / Bank draft: Made payable to ISEE 2017 Conference. Payment must be made in Australian dollars and free of all charges.

Unified receipt available for member conference/registration payments

If you are in need of one receipt for your payment of both the conference and membership fees, please send your conference payment receipt directly to the (not the conference secretariat), with subject line: “Sydney unified receipt request”.

Payment deadlines

Registrations received by 23 June 2017 must be paid in full by 23 June 2017 in order to receive the early bird registration rate.

Registration cancellation policy

Deadline: 25 July 2017

Cancellations must be notified in writing (e-mail is sufficient) to the Conference Secretariat. Cancellations made by 25 July 2017 will result in a full refund less $150 to cover administration costs. As an alternative to cancellation, your registration may be transferred to another person by 25 July 2017 without incurring any cost penalty. The Conference Secretariat must be advised in writing of any alterations or transfers. Failure to obtain the appropriate visa to travel to Australia does not constitute a refund.


All best endeavours will be made to present the program as printed on this website. The conference organisers and its agents reserve the right to alter without prior notice, any of the arrangements, timetables, plans or other items relating to the meeting, for any cause beyond its reasonable control. The organising committee and conference organisers are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused as a result of such alteration. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the organising committee and conference organisers do not accept responsibility for loss of monies caused by delays. Participants are advised to take out personal travel insurance and to extend their policy to cover personal possessions. The Conference does not cover individuals against cancellations of bookings or theft or damage to belongings.
